Getting to and from the airport
The closest international airport to the convention is Josep Tarradellas Barcelona-El Prat Airport (BCN). Rotary does not provide transportation for attendees to or from the airport.
Various ground transportation options exist between the airport and the city center, including buses, trains, taxis, and rideshare. For the most up-to-date ground transportation information, visit the airport website.
Getting around Barcelona
Rotary provides transportation for convention attendees staying at official Rotary-contracted hotels. Rotary will provide all full convention registrants with access to Barcelona's public transportation system. This includes trains (Metro), trams, and buses between hotels and venues. Select hotels may also have an RI-provided shuttle service.
Details about access to public transportation and official shuttle services will be available closer to the event.
Taxis and rideshare such as Uber are also available.
Mobility assistance
Rotary provides an accessible transportation service between the official Rotary-contracted hotels and the convention venue for attendees who utilize scooters and wheelchairs.
Attendees who have indicated they utilize mobility aids such as a scooter or wheelchair on their convention registration or housing booking will receive communication with detailed information about our accessible transport closer to the event.
Scooter and wheelchair rental information will be available closer to the event.
Group vehicle access
To ensure smooth traffic flow, Rotary restricts large vehicle access around convention venues, with coordination of pick up and dropoff only; no parking is provided.
If you are traveling with a group and are planning to hire your own vehicle there will be a vehicle access process required to gain access. More information will be available closer to the event.
